What you'll do
Day 1: Local ‘Lesser-Known’ Mekong Delta My Tho 1-Day Tour
- Get picked-up from your accommodation in the city center to the Mekong Delta, My Tho City. On the way, you will pass by beautiful rice paddy fields. There will be a break stop for restroom and coffee.
- Visit the 100-year-old Vinh Trang Pagoda, the mix art of Roman – Cambodian – Vietnamese architecture.
- Get on the boat to visit the local life and understand the local work of growing fruit and having bees at home. Surely you will enjoy the cup of the local honeybee.
- The trip’s highlight is a relaxing, peaceful rowing boat on the small ‘lesser-known’ canal of water coconut in Ben Tre.
- Walk continuously to see and understand the local life. Then take Tuk-Tuk to the local home for lunch.
- Have a set menu of delicious Southern local lunch on the riverside family home (vegan/vegetarian lunch available).
- Take another boat trip to understand the local work of making coconut candy, and then to the other side of the island to experience the floating fishing farm.
- Enjoy tropical seasonal fruit and listen to Vietnamese folk music and head back to Saigon.
Day 2: ‘Untold Stories’ of Saigon and Cu Chi Tunnels 1-Day Tour
Cu Chi Tunnels Tour:
- Drive to Cu Chi – Ben Duoc Tunnels, and stop at a handicraft workshop for a break.
- Upon arrival, watch a documentary propaganda film to have the insight background of Cu Chi war zone.
- Discover specially constructed living areas with kitchens, bedrooms, storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers, helping whoever lives inside Cu Chi tunnels meet their basic needs.
- Discover many hidden left behind trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels and learn more about the handmade weapon sand traps used during the Vietnam War.
- The highlight of the trip is to crawl and experience the underground town of Cu Chi Tunnels. Guests with claustrophobia are not afraid of crawling inside; you can still see it from above the ground.
- Taste pandan tea and tapioca (guerilla’s war food) during wartime.
- Break at the shooting range to shoot some real guns with Ak47, M16, M30, and M60 (shooting fee is paid separately). Then head back to Saigon.
Saigon Tour:
- Saigon Nortre Dame Cathedral Church: The pride of Saigon culture.
- Saigon Central Post Office: The everlasting architecture of the French influence.
- The Last Helicopter: The remark on the fall of Saigon. To see, can’t enter legally.
- War Remnants Museum: Vietnam War storytelling from the other side.
- The Hidden Weapon Bunker: Vietcong soldiers’ hidden bunker in the heart of Saigon.
