Day 1 & 2: Cai Rang ‘The Biggest’ Floating Market Mekong Delta Can Tho 2-Day Tour
Day 1: Sai Gon – Cai Be – Vinh Long – Can Tho
- Get picked-up at your accommodation in the city center and drive to Cai Be to take the boat trip on the river.
- Taste the local fruit, coconut juice on the boat.
- Visit local work – the handicraft with water hyacinth, banana leaf hammock.
- Take the rowing boat in the small canal surrounding by mangroves.
- Highlight of the day is taking the long boat trip crossing the River of Tien to Vinh Long Province.
- Have a set menu of delicious Southern local lunch (vegan/vegetarian lunch available).
- Visit the local taste of coconut candy, pop rice.
- Drive to Can Tho and overnight at Bamboo Eco Village Can Tho or Mekong Silt Ecolodge.
- Have dinner at the local resort.
Day 2: Can Tho – Cai Rang – Sai Gon
- Take the boat trip to visit Cai Rang Floating Market, the biggest floating market in the Mekong.
- See how people trade and exchange their goods on the boat. Experience the feeling of purchasing on the local boat.
- Visit the rice noodle making shop on the river.
- Have the morning Vietnamese milk coffee and delicious breakfast at the resort.
- Ride bicycle around the local village or/and enjoy the swimming pool.
- Attend the cooking session for Vietnamese Pancake (bánh xèo) and DIY lunch.
- Head back to Saigon.
Day 3: Ben Duoc ‘Less-Crowded’ Cu Chi Tunnels Half-Day Tour
- Get picked-up at your accommodation, drive to Cu Chi – Ben Duoc Tunnels, and stop at a handicraft workshop for a break.
- Upon arrival, watch a documentary propaganda film to have the insight background of Cu Chi war zone.
- Discover specially constructed living areas with kitchens, bedrooms, storages, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers, helping whoever lived inside Cu Chi tunnels meet their basic needs.
- Discover many hidden left behind trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels and learn more about the handmade weapon sand traps used during the Vietnam War.
- Highlight of the trip is to crawl and experience the underground town of Cu Chi Tunnels. Guests with claustrophobia are afraid of crawling inside the tunnels; you can still see it from above the ground.
- Taste pandan tea and tapioca (guerilla’s war food) during wartime.
- Break at the shooting range to shoot some real guns with Ak47, M16, M30, and M60 (shooting fee is paid separately).
- Head back to Saigon.
Day 4: Saigon Walking Half-Day Tour & Private Sai Gon “Foodie” By Night Motorbike Tour
Saigon Walking Half-Day Tour:
- Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral Church (We do not enter, just to see from the outside).
- Saigon Central Post Office
- The Last Helicopter (We do not enter, just to see from the outside as it is now restricted by the government).
- The Independence Palace (We do not enter, just to see from the outside).
- The Venerable Thich Quang Duc Monument
- The Hidden Weapon Bunker
Private Sai Gon “Foodie” By Night Motorbike Tour
- Hop on motorbike and head to the seafood haven! Taste mouthwatering dishes with clams, squid, and scallops, spiced to perfection. Sip a cold beer or soda for an extra kick!
- We pass iconic bridges like Bason Bridge and immerse yourself in the lively vibe of Ho Chi Minh City while riding to district 3 for a fresh Banh Mi!
- Enter Saigon’s hidden alleys for Banh Xeo or Banh Khot!
- Take a leisurely walk and snap nice pics at Ho Thi Ky Market, a vibrant flower market.
- Satisfy your sweet tooth with creamy avocado cream, Banh Trang Nuong (Vietnamese pizza) or Bo La Lot (Vietnamese Grilled Beef Wrapped in Betel Leaves)!
- Get back to the hotel.
